Jochims hatte in den 70er und 80er Jahren des vergangenen Jahrhunderts zahlreiche Papiere gekauft: handgeschöpfte aus Europa und Japan, weiße, graue und schwarze Papiere, und er reißt oder schneidet dann die Bildform gemäß der Tendenz der Farben. Es geht also immer um die ‚Form der Farbe‘. Es ist ihm darum zu tun, die Farbe in die ihr entsprechende Form zu bringen.
Die Risskante mit Oberriss und Unterriss und der Schnitt mit der Schere begrenzen die Farbform, die dann auf eine Unterlage aufgezogen wird. Die Unterlage gehört zum Bild. Der Rahmen schließt die Unterlage (Passe-par-tout) ab und leitet die Bildenergie auf die Wand und ins Umfeld. Der Durchlässigkeit der visuellen Energie soll der Rahmen dienen.

Die T i t e l werden im Nachhinein gefunden, da fragt der Autor: „Bild, wo kommst du her, worauf beziehst du dich?“ Bewusstes, Vorbewusstes und Unbewusstes spielen bei der Titelfindung zusammen. Und früher oder später stellt sich dann ein Wort oder Bildtitel ein und wird lange geprüft, bis er sich festgesetzt hat. Das gilt für die Titelfindung auf allen fünf Arbeitsgebieten. Die Titel werden immer in einfache Anführung gesetzt.
